Underground is a place for children and young people and their families in Kings Cliffe.  Many people from Nassington go there and the organisation is supported by Nassington Parish Council.

Underground Centre (Lower Floor Village Hall, King's Cliffe)

Toy and Game Swap Project: Underground is re-opening the project on January 10th and we need a big stock of no-longer-used or outgrown toys, games, books, DVD's, console games etc for 0-16's. The idea of the project is that youngsters bring an item(s) that they no longer want and swap it for something in the box. No money is exchanged. All items are of a good quality, clean and have all working parts so it makes sense for others to get some use out of them!

We can collect items from you. Please contact Katy on (01780) 470125 or email undergroundcentre@hotmail.co.uk for further info or to arrange a collection.

: The Underground Children's and Youth Centre in King's Cliffe are always looking for more over 18's to join our team of volunteers. We have opportunities to help at our Youth Clubs, Kid's Club and Drop-in.

Volunteers

All volunteers are CRB checked and are fully supported by the Centre Manager. There is no lone working and full responsibility is taken by Underground for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

This is a great opportunity to work with some fantastic young people. Training offered includes First Aid and Child Protection. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do with young people. Rota's available so a weekly commitment isn't essential.

Brownies: Underground is looking to set up a Brownie Pack in King's Cliffe. Would you like to get involved to help us get this up and running? There is also a huge demand for Beavers so this is also a possibility if anyone is interested in helping us. We have a perfect venue in Underground, insurances in place and a Manager to support volunteers. We also have some funding to support it.

Craft project: We have a number of youngsters interested in sewing/knitting/crafts and we would love to set up a club once a week. Do you enjoy making things? Could you come and share your hobbies with young people?

Please contact Katy Weeks (Underground Manager) on 01780 470125 or email undergroundcentre@hotmail.co.uk if you can help with any of the above or would like to find out more.

Youngsters come from 9 different villages and as far afield as Oundle (and even Thrapston now!) Our youth clubs rely on volunteers to do general supervision tasks but there are opportunities to get involved in sports, art/craft and cookery projects alongside day trips.

We need volunteers who are 18+. No maximum age -  we currently have volunteers from 18-82 at Underground!

Youth Clubs run at the following times:

Mon: 6.30 - 8pm
Wed: 7.00 - 9pm
Fri:   6.00 - 7.30pm

We need helpers for all the clubs - times to suit you.

Weekly commitment not essential - rotas available.
