| SPRING COURSE |
Lost and Deserted Villages of Northamptonshire
Tutor Ted Walmsley |
| In the past the rural landscape of Northamptonshire boasted over 400 villages. Some grew to become market towns or were swallowed up by urban expansion; others became deserted and lost to our landscape. Some have shrunken in size with only a manor house, church or isolated farm marking the original site. This course studies a selection of these villages, examining locations, reasons for their real demise and the evidence that can still be found in the landscape. |
| 10 meetings Tuesday 2-3.30pm at Nassington Village Hall. |
