Nassington is twinned with St Andre de la Marche in the Maine-et-Loire region of France.  It's less than an hour inland from Nantes, the one time capital of Brittany.

We have been twinned for getting on for 20 years now

2014 visit to France - There is a loose programme of events for the weekend of summer half term with activities planned from 23rd - 26th May in a very relaxed atmosphere:
Arrival From Friday 23rd May 

Saturday 24th
Welcome drink at 12.00 at the town hall in St Andre     Saturday evening a Twinning supper, all the French and English together
Sunday 25th
a trip out to Nantes , which is 25 minutes away. A visit to Les Machines de L'Ile, a marvellous collection of theatrical, mechanical animals and machines , including a full sized elephant. This is great for adults and children alike. The website quotes "it is a blend of the invented worlds of Jules Verne, the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and the industrial history of Nantes, on the exceptional site of the former shipyards."  Check out the website here:  - it looks a fantastic visit.,

At 3.30pm we shall go on a 1h45 boat trip along the River Erdre, taking in chateaux and sites along its banks.
Sunday  26th Open at the moment - probably meals with families / informal get togethers
